Isn't May a beautiful month? |
Welcome Back to the Labyrinth
"We have been away far too long, my friends," Ashoka declared, his face lit by the eldritch green glow of his staff. "But we have finally returned to the labyrinth whence our adventures first began."
"Just imagine the treasures that lie within," said Yun Tai, flexing his mighty muscles. "Wealth enough to live in luxury the rest of our days."
"And arcane artifacts of great power," added Ashoka his words dripping with avarice. "All ours for the taking!"
"Umm...guys?" Nysa interrupted. "Do you hear something dripping?"

Good lord... it's 80 degrees here in Texas.
Grumble...it's -4 C here (about 25 degrees Fahrenheit).
We have been having unseasonably hot weather here in North Carolina, which I find annoying. I am a cold weather kind of guy myself, but I am sure I wouldn't be as much so if I lived in your neck of the woods. It looks like you are having great gaming weather though, so at least enjoy it for that if nothing else. :-)
Hey Shane, for all my grumbling I prefer cold weather to hot, myself. I doubt I'd survive a summer in Texas, or even your neck of the woods. But May should be one of nicest months of year here, so this just makes me grouchy.
You're right though, it is good gaming weather, and I'm just packing up a case full of Orks for rousing game of 40K tonight!
Here in central NY state I have been complaining that we went from winter to summer with nothing in between, seriously it went from 30 degree weather one day to 70 the next then a week at 80 with rain, then a week at 40 with rain. The weather is broken.
How's the flooding situation?
Winnipeg is dry thanks to the flood-ways but the province, in general, is experiencing record flooding in terms of area covered. We're still waiting for the the Red River and the Assiniboine to crest - probably tomorrow or Tuesday; the snow storm is delaying that and won't make it any better.
I had a dream last night that it snowed here too. Just rain for us. Hope your snow melts and you get to see flowers soon.
PS: I like winter, too.
May? You sure that's not a February photo? ;)
Yeah. Sadly I took the picture yesterday...
Sean I feel your pain! I'm so glad I left the deep freeze of the Peg and moved to Montreal. It's either too freaking hot there, or too cold. Theres no such thing as in between. On the plus side I bet the Slurpee's are really good right about now ;)
@Zombiecowboy: Yeah, I'd rather be just about anywhere else in the country but here. I just know we're going to go straight from winter to 40 degree heat with high humidity. And mosquitoes, which should be especially bad after all the flooding this year :(
@Sean: Look out for the rabid Red River Stirge! They're big enough to fly away with your children and your dog too! :)
